In the framework of the Ask! campaign implemented since June, 2012 with the support of IFEX, Globe International organized the staged reading on November 7, 2012 at Black Box theatre. Staged reading or reader`s theatre based on true stories of two journalists who face criminal defamation conviction for their publication. These two stories were produced to playwrights and titled “Big brother” and “Never late”.

Globe International NGO, UNESCO National Commision and National Legal Institute have organised one-day training for the Mongolian judges on freedom of expression. This is a part of a series of the lawyers’ trainings. In June 2012, the training for the defence lawyers was conducted.  

Globe International is implementing an eight-month intensive campaigning “ASK!”starting from June, 2012 with the support of the IFEX — the global network for free expression. It is a part of our long-term strategy aiming at creation of favorable media legal environment, particularly decriminalization defamation.

New Voices: Media Freedom Helping to Transfer Societies on May 1, 2012 at 14.30 in the Conference Hall of OSF, Mongolia. Round table will discuss a wide range of media freedom issues under the topics: Media Freedom Has the Power to Transform Societies, Difficulty in the Access to Quality Information Undermines Media Freedom and: Challenges to Media in a New Environment.

Globe International Center organized training for 15 television producers and script writers from the provinces Khuvsgul, Gobi-Altai, Bulgan, Dornod, Selenge and Darkhan-Uul on March 5-6, 2012 in the training room of the National Legal Institute.

Globe International and Public Association “Journalists”, Kyrgyz Republic, the two IFEX members completed the skills exchange project implemented by the IFEX financial support.

Globe International, a Mongolian NGO has completed a four-month project entitled “Story-based Inquiry” implemented from September, 2011 till December, 2011 under the funding of the UNESCO, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Oyutolgoi and Independent Authority against Corruption of Mongolia (IAACM).

Two-day training for the provincial journalists was held in the hotel “Elegance Plaza”, Ulaanbaatar on December 8-9, 2011 and the training involved 29 provincial journalists.
