Globe International is organizing a WPFD campaign under the motto: For Fair and Responsible Journalism, aimed at raising public awareness on the importance of free and independent media.Campaign involves WPFD event, publication of the 2008 Media Freedom Report and installation of the promotional billboards in UB streets.

Civil Society Consultative meeting will take place on 23 April 2009 at Bishrelt hotel, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.  It is the 2d meeting that the Public Council of the Anti-corruption Agency exchanges their opinions with civil society to build the good partnership with the public.

Public Council members of the Anti-corruption Agency (ACA)will attend the one-day training on April 22, 2009 to be held at Bishrelt hotel. The training is a part of the project Curbing Corruption through Empowering the Public Council that is run by Globe International under the grant of the Partnership for Transparency Fund.

The first meeting was organized on February 6, 2009 at the conference room of the National Legal Center. It involved 25 participants represented the Anti-corruption Agency, PC members, National Human Rights Commission and NGOs. 

Globe International has started the project “Monitoring Press Freedom and   Supporting Independent Media in Mongolia” since October 2008. The present reported period is October 1, 2008 and March 31, 2009. Main goal of the project is to promote greater democratisation and openness in Mongolia by campaigning for the public’s right to have access to free and uncensored news and government information. 

Globe International is publishing the interim report of the project “Empowering Public Council to Curb Government Corruption” under the grant of Partnership for Transparency Fund. 
Project’s goal is to assist in empowering Public Council that is able to take remarkable contributions to the ACA duties to curb corruption, and objectives are to create more favorable legal environment and regulation to guarantee an efficient functioning of the Public Council,

With the support from UNESCO Office Beijing,  the Globe International, a Mongolian media advocacy NGO will conduct the World Press Freedom Day campaign in Mongolia.
 The campaign is aimed at raising public awareness on the importance of free media.

Australian journalist Kitty Hamilton, who is working in Mongolia at the invitation of the Press Institute, performed his shooting of documentary film “Freedom of Information-Mongolia” in Ovorkhangai province. The journalist got au fait with working environment of local reporters and exchanged views on freedom of information. Local reporters spoke about freedom of information in Mongolia whether it exists in local area, and what kind of pressure they have, who make it etc.
