Web sites Guchin-Us soum of Ovorkhangai aimag (www.guchin-us.mn) and Bayanhkutag soum of Khentii aimag(www.bayankhutag.mn) were launched by the project “Transparency Campaigning” at Local Government to Curb Corruption started in August 15, 2010 under the funding of the Partnership for Transparency Fund (http://www.ptf.org/) which is aimed at improving the transparency of the local public organizations to curb corruption.

Monitoring of transparency of government services in Bayankhutag soum of Khentii aimag

General confidence in government organizations and their services is falling due to incompetence, bribery and corruption, bureaucracy and violation of human rights. Thus, in the framework of the Government resolution No. 143, monitoring of government services was conducted in three organizations, namely the Governor’s Office of soum, Social Welfare Services and the local hospital.

Comment on Draft Mongolian RTI Law

UN Human Rights Committee raises serious concerns about the human rights after the July 2008’s Elections

New York, 22nd March 2011 — On 21st and 22nd March 2011, the United Nations Human Rights Committee reviewed the fifth Report of Mongolia on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). In this context, NGOs produced a report, which details the main human rights violations in Mongolia.
