Globe International has recently released results following 5 days of monitoring between May 13 and 17 observing that: during 27,408 minutes' coverage, excluding news programs, some 5.6 percent or 1,544 minutes, has provided news and information about the two candidates; 56 percent in a total of 1,544 minutes has been devoted to information about Ts.Elberdorj, and 44 percent-- N.Enkhbayar.
Positive information about the latter had been 66 percent, 12.6 percent neutral and 21.4 percent negative. This is compared to positive information about Ts.Elbegdorj--43 percent positive, 8.7 percent neutral and 48.3 percent negative.
According to monitoring results, TV news programs had broadcast information about the candidates for 1,146 minutes, of which 67.1 percent had been about Enkhbayar, and 32.9 percent about Ts.Elebgdorj. It was noted that positive information about Enkhbayar had been 86.4 percent, whilst positive information about Elbegdorj had been 59 percent, and negative information about him had been 29.5 percent.
