
The MASAM II project team of the Globe International Center NGO organized two capacity-building activities among representatives of civil society organizations and citizens of Songinokhairkhan district on February 17 and 18. First, a training consisting of 4 modules on capacity building for government and civil society representatives in Songinokhairkhan district was organized in the conference hall of MN Tower. The training was attended by three representatives of the district's Governor's Office, 22 representatives of citizens and civil society organizations, seeing a total of 25 people. Participants learned how to effectively implement social accountability tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public investment (PI) and primary health care (PHC) and learned from Mongolian and international best practices on how to engage citizens in the future.
Second, a discussion titled “Participatory Solutions” was held at the MN Tower on February 18 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with the participation of citizens and CSOs. During the discussion, participants identified the challenges facing people of the district and its khoroos (the smallest administrative unit if governance) in the effective planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and effective management of public investment, and the effective delivery of primary health care services, based on the participation of citizens and CSOs. sought a solution. The aim of the discussion was to define a strategy for further constructive cooperation, but it was not possible to develop this strategic plan due to the inability of representatives of government and health organizations of the Songinokhairkhan district to provide information and participate in the discussion.
