In celebration of the second International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI), the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCOand Globe International Center (GIC) will host an “IPDCtalks: Mongolia” event for the first time.

The conference is designed to raise public awareness about the media’s important role in monitoring progress towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and in holding authorities accountable for their role in achieving them.

It is also acrucial platform for stakeholders to discuss the adoption and effective implementation of national right to information laws, in line with international standards and obligations.

The conference is aimed at reinforcing dialogue on access to information and its connection to SDGs, includingseries of speeches fromtop journalists, community leaders and prominent civil society activists.
