Globe International Center signs MoU with General Judicial Council of Mongolia

The MoU’s goal is to cooperate in implementing the UN Action Plan on the
Safety of Journalists, the Mongolian Government’s Action Plan for
2016-2019 on Implementation of UNHRC Recommendations and a National
Anti-Corruption Program.
General Judicial Council Executive Secretary, Mr T.Mendsaikhan, signed the MoU on behalf of the GJC and highlighted the council’s activities to ensure transparency of the court process.
Mr T.Mendsaikhan explained: “Media plays an important role to ensure transparency of court proceedings and we’ve created a legal environment to involve 12,000 citizen representatives at trials and we are working with 150 journalists to raise their awareness. Courts are open and all of the decisions are online at www.shuukh.mn. Moreover, the public can observe court proceedings via video recordings.”
Globe International Center is negotiating with the General Police Department, General Prosecutor’s Office and Independent Authority against Corruption on signing the MoU to cooperate in implementing the aforementioned programs and action plans.
