Diplomatic Briefing at Mongolian Embassy to be held
Mongolian Embassy and Globe International Center, a Mongolian civil society organization have organized Diplomatic Briefing in Beijing on 12 September, 2016 at the Mongolian Embassy Meeting Hall.

It involved representatives from Embassies of Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Netherlands, Finland, Austria, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Lithuania, Croatia, Romania, Denmark, Kyrgyz, UNESCO Office Beijing and Delegation of the European Union to China and Mongolia.

Ms.Tuvshintugs Battsetseg, Minister Counsellor, Embassy of Mongolia to the PRC and Mr. Robert Parua, Officer in Charge, UNESCO Beijing Office gave opening remarks for the meeting. Then Ms.Khashkhuu Naranjargal, President and CEO of Globe International Center, informed participants on the UPR Recommendations on Freedoms of Opinion and Expression and Follow Up process.

The meeting was moderated by Mr. Bandii Garid, Second Secretary, Embassy of Mongolia to the PRC.

The Diplomatic Briefing was aimed at informing the participants on the follow-up process and progresses of implementation of recommendations for Mongolia's Universal Periodic Review on freedom of opinion and expression submitted at the 22nd UN's Human Rights Council's UPR Session in Geneva on May 5, 2015.

During the second cycle review, on September 2015 Mongolian Government accepted all recommendations on freedom of opinion and expression from eight countries.

The first Diplomatic Briefing was successfully held on 27 April, 2016 in the UN House in Ulaanbaatar and involved representatives from Embassies, diplomatic missions and international community.
