Parliament passed June 30, 2009 a bill to amend the Law on Advertisement that will allow the media to advertise wine, beer and traditional Mongolian milk vodka that contains up to 18 degrees of ethyl spirit.
According to the amendment, the advertisement on calling for consumption of alcoholic drinks was prohibited. Moreover, it has legalized to use a warning “Harmful for your health in exceed usage’ when spreading such advertisement under allowed legal terms.
Furthermore, in case of the above advertisement is distributed through sponsoring and financing a variety of public sport events, products allowed in legal terms can be placed on wall boards, placard, poster and same press means.
In addition, an administrative responsibility will be imposed on those who breach the Law on Advertisement that will advertise wine, beer and traditional Mongolian milk vodka that contains up to 18 degrees of ethyl spirit.
