Globe International, a Mongolian NGOs organised the 2d Civil Society Consultative Meeting on 23 April 2009 at Bishrelt hotel, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It is a part of the project “Curbing Corruption through Empowering Public Council” whish has been running since January 2009 under the grant of Partnership for Transparency Fund. The meeting involved 20 participants including representatives of PC, the Ant-corruption Agency and NGOs.
The PC members and the Anti-corruption Agency officials have met the representatives of the Mongolian NGO s in order take their supports and contributions to the draft Recommendations on the better legislation regulating PC and the PC Action Plan.
The participants were educated on the goals, structure and activities of the Public councils or the similar bodies in other countries. The comparative research on 10 countries was conducted by Aiga Grisane, an expert from Transparency International-Mongolia.
