Inhabitants of Bayandalai and Gurvantes soums of Omnogobi Province intend to issue a newspaper “Local News”. The Press Institute organized a training. This newspaper was issued by the Institute of Nature in New Zealand in 2000-2006 and was distributed free of charge to 13 soums of Ovorkhangai, Omnogobi and Bayankhongor provinces.
In response to a suggestion on restoring the activity of this newspaper and presenting it to the hand of locals, residents of the above soums supported this initiative and set up an editorial office
In association with the Institute of Nature in New Zealand, this training session was organized with an aim of providing basic-stage knowledge to locals who have never worked in journalism field.
In accordance with a curriculum based on journalism experiences of the USA, Germany and Denmark, this training session was arranged in introducing a writing type that is mostly common used and popular in local papers.
