Program to be implemented for parliamentary reporters

Is there any opportunity to change the domination of negative reports about parliament through mass media means? Is the reason for this being held in State Great Khural /Parliament/ or reporters? How to improve the youth’s political initiative and interest via media means? To whom it is profitable for an establishment of friendly relationship between politicians and reporters?

With the purpose of debating these questions and many other issues in terms of theory and practical details, and improving professional skill of reporters, a two-day training session will be organized in the Press Institute. This event, to be held on March 23-24, 2009, is a start of the largest program that will be carried out by the Press Institute in cooperation with the World Bank, the Republican Institute and the Conrad Adenaur Foundation.

Within the framework of this program, which aims to improve people’s knowledge on parliament, an open discussion will be organized in presence of politicians, reporters, scholars and researchers.

In addition, an international video conference of parliamentary reporters in South-East Asia will be arranged where Mongolian reporters are able to share knowledge and experiences with their counterparts.
