The Mongolian Science Journalists’ Club, established at the initiative of some scholars in Mongolia, convened its first-ever session.

At the event, Dr. and Professor S. Budnyam delivered a report on “Is there a need to publicize science?”  Participants discussed the Club’s structure and organizatiuon.  Dr. and Professor Sh. Batmonkh, the Club’s Chief Exectutive Officer (CEO), said, “We are translating online lessons (www.wfsj.org/course) issued by the World Federation of Science Journalists in Mongolian and making these a textbook and guideline for journalists. Furthermore, we plan to develop a curriculum for theoritical and practical lessons to be taught at universities offering journalism studies.”  The Mongolian Science Journalists’ Club has applied to join the World Federation of Science Journalists as a member.
