DEMANDS TO STOP EXPLOITING JOURNALISTS' HARD WORK

That launching your own website on the Internet for business purposes is today a worldwide practice cannot be disputed. Unfortunately, it is highly regrettable that our biggest national websites "Olloo.mn" (www.olloo.mn) and "Sonin.mn" (www.sonin.mn) run business through taking advantage of journalists hard work. While sitting strenuously in their offices, these websites' staff make profits by placing on their websites the news and information that journalists found through risking their lives and freedom.

Those websites staff have refused to accede to our journalists repeated demands that they put an end to this fraud. Furthermore, they try to justify their theft through the fact that they mention newspapers names below the respective online articles. Sometimes despite having placed the whole text of an article on their websites they cheat through writing at the end of the article Please refer to Udriin sonin for the remaining part. You cannot justify stealing others property by saying Its still theirs. Likewise, you cannot justify stealing rice from another family by saying the rest of the rice is still there.

Information is capital, a permanently valuable intellectual property. The press go to great expenses to find information and pay money for finding it. In the long run, readers also pay money to get hold of that information. Supporting your website through stealing such valuale capital, placing advertisements on it and thereby making profits are nothing less than a theft of intellectual property.

The intellectual property created though the hard work of our newspapers journalists is only available in Udriin sonin in the print form and on www.dailynews.mn in the electronic form. We consider copying from either of these sources to be an intellectual property theft and will ensure that our rights are protected.

Noteworthy, we are suing the abovementioned websites for the appropriate part of their past revenues.
