The new project has started "Raising awareness of young Mongolians on democratic elections" funded by British Embassy

Globe International Center, a Mongolian NGO is started to run the new project a social media campaign promoting youth participation in elections. This will be done via social media since 80 percent of Facebook users are young people aged 18-35.
The project has three Outputs:
1) A focus group of the young people trained and share their knowledge among their peers
2) The Mongolian young voters educated through audio and video educational materials, and

3) Targeted social media campaign on democratic elections launched encouraging young Mongolians to vote
The project-formed Youth Initiative Group (YIG) consisting of 10 members will be trained on values and principles of democratic elections. They will then be engaged to conduct a rapid survey among their peers to identify the reasons for lack of interest in voting. Results will be used in development of campaign messages, content of five audios and videos calling on their peers to vote. These voter education materials will be posted on YouTube and promoted by Facebook.
The YIG will pay a key role in social media campaign responding to comments and feedback and reinforcing discussions.
The project expects to increase motivation of educated young Mongolians to actively participate in the upcoming Parliamentary election in June 2016.
