A criminal defamation case has launched against TV9 channel and its crew of the documentary that disclosed the corruption facts. TV9 Channel aired a corruption story about the illegal privatization of “Ulaanbaatar” printing`s building located in the city center in a documentary titled “Detective-2” on December 17, 2011.

(Globe International/IFEX) - On 27 December 2011, the World Mission Society Church of God filed a lawsuit against TV-8 television station and one of the station's journalists, J. Minjin, in the Chingeltei District Court.

On 6 September 2011, female journalist J.Minjin of TV-8 television broadcasted a news item about complaints by former members of “World Mission Society Church of God” and certain sources, concerning "doubtful" preaching by the church.

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) joins its affiliate the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists (CMJ) in condemning the assault on a Khongor Television news crew in Bayankhongor Province in western Mongolia, on January 2.

Globe International and the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists are concerned about the assault on the journalist and cameraman from “Khongor” TV in Bayankhongor aimag, a western province of Mongolia.

Globe International and Public Association “Journalists”, Kyrgyz Republic, the two IFEX members completed the skills exchange project implemented by the IFEX financial support.

Globe International, a Mongolian NGO has completed a four-month project entitled “Story-based Inquiry” implemented from September, 2011 till December, 2011 under the funding of the UNESCO, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Oyutolgoi and Independent Authority against Corruption of Mongolia (IAACM).

Two-day training for the provincial journalists was held in the hotel “Elegance Plaza”, Ulaanbaatar on December 8-9, 2011 and the training involved 29 provincial journalists.
